Ring VacRing Vac was a sponsored group project by General Electric Appliances. We were assigned to create a small cleaning appliance for “Feature Seekers”, one of GE’s target user profile.
Our group won First Place and the Best Research Award.

Solving the Problems
Designed a ring handle to get advantage of reaching unconventional areas with no pain.
Redesigned beater to get rid of clogging and tangling with no fear.
Designed a Smart Cleaner to serve a home for the Ring Vac that integrates seamlessly into the user’s space.

Researched GE Appliances' Smart Products to gain insight on color and finish.
UX/UI
Designed a Smart Cleaner that allows user to take their cleaning habits to the next level. The Smart Cleaner is a non-invasive home for the vacuum which is connected through the SmartHQ App. With the use of this app, the user is capable of take control of their cleaning.
The Process
With market size and necessity in mind, we determined vacuums are the perfect segue into surface cleaning and establishing General Electric Appliances as a major competitor amongst other brands.
